Sara Update Week of March 11, 2001
Hello,
Well, Gamma (Janet) was here this week and everyone had a wonderful time. Sara loved having her Grandmother here and showed some new abilities.
Sara started to creep this week. Creeping is a pre-step to crawling. She puts her feet under her, lifts up her stomach and propels herself forward. It was terrific. She also started rocking this week. Rocking is when Sara gets on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. Rocking is also a pre-step to crawling. It is amazing to see her little body "do" so much.
Two weeks ago I sat in front of Sara and made a clicking sound with my mouth. This week, Sara has mastered the clicking sound and it is now one of her favorites.
She still loves her baby Mozart video. It's a video with images that keep a baby's attention (a caterpillar stuffed animal with a lot of legs, a metronome moving back and forth, a toy train, etc.) and Mozart music (simplified for a baby's ears). The two together are a winning combination and Sara can watch with enthusiasm for about a half hour.
All our love,
Alan and Victoria
