Election Poll Situation + Election Violence?

I don't know about you, but I am pretty much burned out on predicting this election. This thing appears tied! Amazing. From NPR's All Things Considered, here is a good rundown as to where things stand right now.
A new poll from the Pew Research Center shows President Bush and his Democratic rival, Sen. John Kerry, running dead even at 47 percent among both registered and likely voters, with Kerry wiping out the president's edge over the past few weeks. Andrew Kohut of the Pew Center discusses the results with NPR's Melissa Block.

One thing I've been ruminating about lately is the potential for violence on election day. The campaigns have turned this into a perceived death struggle (most important election ever, and all that), and since Florida 2000 everyone thinks their vote could be the deciding vote (in the "battleground" states, at least). Here is something relevant from NPR's Morning Edition (tongue in cheek).
Supporters of President Bush and Senator Kerry are attacking each other's yard signs. Authorities in swing states report that Bush and Kerry signs are being burned, chopped down, or spray-painted.
