One interesting thing about the Palin pick is that it appears that Obama needs some of the Western states -- CO, NM, NV -- to win. This is because he is struggling in FL and to a lesser degree in OH. My guess is that Palin will play well in the West, especially CO, which may serve to block out Obama and make it hard for him to get to 270 if the race is close.
