Negativity in the Election

As I have postulated/prognosticated recently, my feeling is that Kerry is going to win and it won't be that close. The reason is that this election is going to come down to national security, Kerry has an extremely strong bio in that regard, and the only way Bush can counter it is by going negative. And because he will be so negative, he will turn off the swing voters and lose.

From the New York Times 8/14/04: "President Bush's campaign will begin a blistering new attack against Senator John Kerry on Monday questioning his attendance at Intelligence Committee hearings in an advertisement that ends a brief pause in confrontational advertising by Mr. Bush."
