'Rosenstrasse': A German Fight Against Nazis

From NPR Audio: "The new film Rosenstrasse tells the story of German gentiles who protested the arrests of Jews in 1943, eventually winning their release. Director Margarethe Von Trotta calls her film an indictment against Germans who failed to condemn Nazi atrocities. Pat Dowell reports."

Very interesting in terms of guilt/innocence and cowardice/courage. As many of you know, WWII has long fascinated me, in particular because of these types of issues. People were tested, people were manipulated, true characters were shown, there was evil vs. good (often intermingled), etc. An unusual period, to say the least, and one that needs to be understood as much as possible, IMO.
