Goooooooal! Blue Coat CEO wins rights for Bay Area pro women’s soccer team
For those who don't know, Blue Coat is my current company.
"The Bay Area has scored a pro women’s soccer team. Technology executive Brian NeSmith and his wife, Nancy, have been granted rights to a San Francisco-area franchise in the Women’s Professional Soccer league. Along with the Bay Area team, WPS is scheduled to begin play in the spring of 2009 with teams in Boston, Chicago, New York, St. Louis, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. WPS said it expects to expand to Atlanta and Philadelphia in 2010. NeSmith is CEO of Blue Coat Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: BCSI), a Sunnyvale company whose technology protects corporate networks. The NeSmiths have two soccer-playing daughters."
